Class 5a

Jaden Jackson, Skyline

Though just a sophomore, Jackson has shown he has the scoring prowess of a veteran this season. The 6-foot guard scored 17 points last week in a win over Cyprus and hasn't scored less than 12 points since Jan. 5. He hit five-three-pointers in a win against Murray two weeks ago and has helped the Eagles to a 4-2 Region 2 record.

Mariah Duran, Murray

Duran, a guard, heated up from behind the three-point arc last week and it paid off with a pair of wins for the Spartans. Duran hit four three-pointers and scored 19 points in a victory against Granger. Later in the week she scored 17 points with three three-pointers against Cyprus. Duran averages 11.7 points per game and hits an average of 2.3 three-pointers per game.

Scott has been a consistent scorer for the Pioneers and last week was no different. He had 19 in a blowout win over Mountain View and 12 in a runaway victory over Westlake. The 6-foot-2 center scored 18 points last week in a win over Salem Hills and had 10 points in a win over Uintah. Redd has only scored in single digits twice this season and has a 14.8 points per game scoring average. Her Dons entered the week with a 5-1 record in Region 8.

Class 3A

Jensen has been unstoppable this season and so has Emery, which is 6-0 in Region 12 play. Jensen averages 16.9 points per game. Last week, Jensen scored 26 points, including three three-pointers in a win against Manti. In his next game, Jensen scored 19 points and dished out 12 assists in a win over North Sanpete.
