Posted: 8:09 PM- The Hawks are the ultimate spread offense. They have a great quarterback in Ammon Olsen, and great wide receiver in Parker Webster, a ton of scatbacks, athletic receivers that support Olsen and Webster, and a great offensive line that makes it all go. In short, there isn't much that Alta lacks, which is one of the reasons that the Hawks are favored to go all the way for the second consecutive season.

That's the challenge that Davis faces this week. The Darts have one of the best defenses around. And a big challenge is going to rest with James Cowser, the Davis defensive lineman and one of the best pass rushers in the state. So in slowing down the Hawks, the Darts have two choices. Either the defense can play the game of its life, or the offense needs to feed the ball to Tanner Hinds, and the junior running back needs to respond with the game of HIS life.

The problem with the Hinds theory is this: While he's no doubt an All-State candidate, the Hawks have one of the better defenses I've seen this season. But Hinds having a career day is what's probably going to have to happen in order for Davis to move on.

The prediction: Alta 35, Davis 17
