Posted: 12:38 PM- SALT LAKE CITY - A member of an embattled polygamous church likened a raid by Texas authorities to an act of terrorism in a letter to President Bush

Willie Jessop said he delivered the 10-page letter on Saturday to staff members outside Bush's Texas ranch, where daughter Jenna Bush got married.

Jessop said he had a cordial conversation with presidential staffers who promised to get back to him.

The letter protests an "invasion" by Texas authorities and a "mock" custody hearing for 464 children and young adults taken from the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Last month, Texas authorities raided the group's Eldorado retreat over allegations of sexual abuse in the polygamous community.

Jessop's letter includes an invitation for the president, first lady Laura Bush and members of the president's staff to visit the Yearning For Zion ranch.

Jessop has also asked Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. for help.

The FLDS is based in Utah and Arizona.
