More than 1,000 readers flocked to Juan Diego High School in Draper on Friday evening to hear horror novelist Stephen King for his first reading the Salt Lake Valley. King, who lives in Maine and Florida, is on a 10-city book tour to promote "End of Watch," the last novel in his detective trilogy that includes "Mr. Mercedes" and "Finders Keepers." The King's English Bookstore in Salt Lake City hosted the sold-out event for the prolific and wildly popular writer, who has published more than 50 novels and 200 short stories, including "Carrie" and "The Shining."
