From out of the stage, Justin Bieber rose in a glass box, singing the opening number, "Mark My Words," to the deafening screams of the sold-out crowd Saturday night at the Vivent Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.

Most performers would use such a grand entrance to take the stage and own the show. But not Justin Bieber.

Back into the recesses of the elaborate stage he and the glass box sank, only to rise again from one of the many elevating platforms — a trick that played well for Bieber and his dancers throughout the hour-and-a-half performance. Technology, superb sound and innovation combined to make this a stand-out evening.

Reports of Bieber skiing at The Canyons on Friday and buying people shots at Park City Live later that evening, seemed only to feed into the buzz of the Utah presence of the 22-year-old heart throb and pop sensation.

"Phew! This elevation, man. I've been on the road for what, two weeks now? It gets lonely," Bieber said as he led into, "Company."

Highlights of the evening included the "Biebs" displaying his musical talents with a drum solo and later, an acoustic guitar performance of "Love Yourself." Fun prevailed throughout the night displayed best when a trampoline, with a blueprint the size of the average suburban home, dropped and hovered over the floor seats — an apt playground for Bieber and his crew.

Taking an age survey by way of audience screams, Bieber counted up from 10 through 100, the loudest cheers garnered from the 16-22 group.

An on-stage waterfall, drenching the shirtless Bieber, rounded out the evening to "Sorry."

"Alright guys, I'm out!"
