Watchable Wildlife

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is holding a Watchable Wildlife event to view Rocky Mountain goats April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. State biologists will have binoculars and spotting scopes. To see video of mountain goats in Utah, go to www.sltrib.com/outdoors.

Snowmobiling

Grooming of trails ends

Utah State Parks has ended its grooming of snowmobile trails across the state for the 2007-08 season. While snow conditions may still mean good snowmobiling, the grooming is done on a budgetary schedule rather than in response to nature. State Parks grooms more than a combined 25,000 miles of trails each winter, ranging from Logan Canyon to Cedar Mountain.
