New this year, Lady Morgan Express represents Deer Valley Resort's latest effort to expand its expert terrain. Centennial area reinforces Deer Valley's attention to glade skiing. Good skiers who prefer bumps to trees can find them in the center of Magnet, Argus or Hillside. It takes two chair rides from the base to reach Lady Morgan: Carpenter Express followed by Quincy Express. Nearest food is at Empire Canyon Lodge.

Runs to try:

* Pearl: Best way down for beginners, a bit narrow at points but has enough slope and turns to provide an enjoyable ride for youngsters.

* Dakota: The only intermediate run coming off the top; skiers can drop off Pearl for a few quick turns but then face a decision: Return to Pearl or take on Magnet's black-diamond slope.

* Magnet: Nice pitch off the top and plenty wide, with extra space to work with among some of the aspen along the side.

* Argus: Offers exposure to off-trail skiing, particularly below a cliff band, with enough steepness to be quite appealing on a good powder day.

* Centennial: Pines up top, aspen down below. Pick your way through. Quick turns can be required to run the trees like gates.
