Safety clinic and competition
The Jeep Terrain Park Challenge, a grassroots program promoting safety and responsibility at terrain parks, will hold a safety clinic and competition at The Canyons Resort in Park City on Friday. Stonefly Society Meeting
Mark Holden, of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission, will discuss the management of the Provo River on Feb. 21 at a Stonefly Society meeting. Moonlight and Starlight hikes at Jordanelle
A moonlight snowshoe hike is planned Feb. 23 at Jordanelle State Park's Hailstone main marina, starting at 7:30 p.m. There is no charge but donations are welcome. The hike includes cookies and hot cocoa. A similar hike is set for March 7 at 7 p.m. Call 435-649-9540 to reserve a spot for either date and snowshoes if needed.
Park City Mountain
Resort hosts Ski To Live
Kristen Ulmer, a noted big-mountain skier, is bringing her Ski To Live workshop to Park City Mountain Resort from Feb. 28 to March 2. Ski To Live, which includes yoga, on-hill coaching and evening interactions with Genpo Roshi, a big-mind technique advisor, is designed to help participants find true motivation in skiing and snowboarding as well as in life.

2008 Gunnison Valley spring run-off
The Gunnison Valley Spring Run-Off is set for April 12, with several events ranging from a full marathon to a 1-mile category for "mothers with strollers." The registration forms can be downloaded on the Gunnison City Web site at www.gunnisoncity.org, which will give deadlines, starting times and fees.
