Bryce Canyon Winter Festival

The 23rd annual Bryce Canyon Winter Festival is Feb. 16-18 at Ruby's Inn in Bryce Canyon City. There is plenty of snow this year for the archery biathlon event, 10K free technique cross-country ski race and snowshoe tours. A variety of other clinics also will be offered, as will ranger-guided snowshoe hikes and geology and astronomy presentations. Visit www.rubysinn.com for more information.

Snowshoe hike, plus eclipse

Lifelong Learning at the University of Utah is holding a full-moon-eclipse snowshoe hike Feb. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. Watch, weather permitting, as the moon passes into and out of the Earth's shadow.
