You know you're going to pop the question, but when? And how? Enter The Salt Lake Tribune's contest to win the opportunity to propose on Valentine's Day in the newspaper! Here are the rules:

1. In 400 words or fewer, tell us your love story. How did you meet and fall in love, and why do you want to spend the rest of your life with this person? We want to know why we should choose you to propose in our pages.

2. We'll keep your entry in the contest confidential and want you to keep quiet, too, so that if you win, your special person will be surprised to read your winning essay and see your picture in the newspaper and at www.sltrib.com.

3. The winner must agree to let a Tribune reporter and photographer be present when an answer is received so we can write a follow-up story. We'd also like to write a story when the wedding takes place.

4. The deadline to enter is Feb. 1. E-mail entries to features@sltrib.com or send them to Propose in the Paper Contest, The Salt Lake Tribune, 90 S. 400 West, Suite 700, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Be sure to include a phone number.

5. The winner will be selected and notified by Feb. 4. Direct any questions to features@sltrib.com.
