Bald Eagle Days in Utah

State-sponsored Bald Eagle Days will be Feb. 2 and 9 at locations across the state. Admission is free and wildlife officials and volunteers will be on hand with binoculars and spotting scopes to help people get a close-up view of the impressive raptors.

In Midway

Free avalanche class

Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway is holding a free three-hour avalanche safety class Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Learn how to recognize and avoid potential slide areas and about basic avalanche safety equipment and how to use it. Register by calling 435-654-1791.
