The 13th annual Stage Stop sled dog race from Jackson, Wyo., to Park City starts Jan. 25 and ends Feb. 2.
At least 19 teams will gather at the Town Square in Jackson to start the 2008 International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race, the largest such event in the lower 48 states. The course winds through eight Wyoming towns and ends in Park City.
Four-time Iditarod champion Doug Swingley is among the racers scheduled to compete. Returning for the second consecutive year is Kate St. Onge from Millville in northern Utah.
The racers stop in different cities each night for festivities after a day of racing. For a complete list of teams, a schedule and daily results once the race begins, visit www.wyomingstagestop.org.
