The Utah State Trapshooting Association recently announced the state team for 2007, made up of the best shooters from last year. The trapshooters carried the highest averages from registered American Trapshooting Association events in 16-yard, handicap and double targets. All shooters fired in competition at a minimum of eight gun clubs, five within the state, in order to be eligible for the team.
First team: Joe Sudbury, West Valley City (composite average 96.15); Robert Green, Syracuse (96.00); Justin BodilyÂ, Layton, (95.68); Darren New, West Valley City (94.53); Steve Johnson, Spanish Fork (94.15)
Second team: Brad Averett, Francis (94.07); Scott Syme, Fountain Green (93.89); Dale Justice , West Valley City (93.73); Scott Hoover, Ogden (93.55); Bruce Bachman, Sandy (93.38).
