'Utah Curiosities' joins the lineup of 'Where is it?' prizes

Posted: 10:36 AM- Salt Lake Tribune arts and entertainment writer and Culture Vulture columnist Brandon Griggs has produced a new book called Utah Curiosities: Quirky Characters, Roadside Oddities and Other Offbeat Stuff from Globe Pequot Press ($14.95).

The book includes information about a variety of unique Utah locales such as Gravity Hill, Big Rock Candy Mountain and The Spiral Jetty.

Griggs also shares tales of famous, and infamous, Utah residents and quirky news from the state's long history.

Utah Curiosities will be placed in the rotation of the books readers can win from entering the weekly Where Is It? contest with Fishing Utah by Tribune outdoors writer Brett Prettyman and Dinosaurs of Utah by Tribune artist Pat Bagley and Gayen Wharton.
