Spotlight on sandhill cranes

Wildlife ecologist Thomas Sharp will talk about sandhill cranes, from their behavior, to migration patterns and preferred habitat, at Swaner Nature Preserve on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Spotted Frog bookstore in Park City. The lecture is sponsored by the Swaner Nature Preserve and a donation of $5 is suggested. Visit www.swanernaturepreserve.org for information.

Honoring Veterans

National Park Service sites in Utah and across the country will be offering free admission to U.S. veterans, active members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families Sunday. The admission applies to entrance fees only and is only applicable on Veterans Day.
