Some Utah resorts provide a preseason discount on season tickets for locals. The deadline for the discount varies, but some are approaching.
Resorts providing the local discount include: Alta; Brighton; Deer Valley; Park City Mountain Resort; Snowbasin; Snowbird; Solitude and The Canyons.
One of the best deals around involves Ski Utah's Fifth and Sixth Grade Ski and Snowboard Passport programs. The programs allow each participant to ski or snowboard free for a certain number of days at each of Utah's 13 participating resorts.
The passport also includes special deals on equipment rentals and lessons.
