Ogden Valley Balloon Festival

The 13th annual Ogden Valley Balloon Festival is being held in Eden and Huntsville Aug. 18-19. The event includes 30 hot-air balloons competing in various challenges, a fine-arts show, arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, kids games and an antique-car show. The festival is free. Bicycling

Geocaching trail ride

The Mountain Trails Foundation in Park City is holding a free geocaching trail ride Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. on flat trails, making it a good event for any mountain biker. Meet at the Starbucks at Kimball Junction. Visit www.mountaintrails.org for more information.
