Friday -
Solitude resort, 3-5 p.m., wildflower hikes. Ride the Sunrise Lift and then walk back to the Village. Rated as moderately strenuous due to high elevations and unstable footing. The hikes start on an as-needed basis at the Stonehaus, entry 2 at Solitude. A less strenuous wildflower walk will be led at 4 p.m.
Saturday -
All events will take place at Alta. Meet at the Goldminer's Daughter Patio for all events. Walks will be held with a ratio of one guide for 12 participants and leave on an as-needed basis. Beginner walks (van assisted) will be held at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Intermediate walks will be held at 9:30 a.m. and noon. Wildflower walks for kids will be held at 10 a.m. and noon. A children's art in the mountains event starts at 1 p.m., and a puppet show will be held at 11 a.m. Live music will play from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Sunday -
Snowbird is the place for today's events. Registration for wildflower and geology hikes - with a $5 donation to the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation - will take place from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. The tram leaves at 9:30 a.m. for the hikes, which are rated as strenuous. The Peruvian Chair leaves for wildflower hikes into Mineral Basin at 9:30 a.m. This is a strenuous/moderate hike in the upper Mineral Basin.
A geology hike leaves the plaza at 9:30 a.m. and a lower mountain wildflower hikes leaves at 9:45 a.m. Live music will play from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the plaza deck.
