The Snowbird Renaissance Center and the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation will present "An Everest Evening" on Aug. 9 at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird.

Featured guests include Conrad Anker and Apa Sherpa, who will recount their successful expeditions.

Anker, who once lived in Utah and discovered the body of George Mallory on Mount Everest in 1999, will talk about the Climbing School, which he established. Apa broke his world record with a 17th summit of Everest this spring.
