Paddle the Jordan River

The Utah Rivers Council and REI are holding a Jordan River Paddle event July 18 at 5:30 p.m. The float is a mild, family-friendly canoe or kayak trip. Boats, paddles and life jackets will be provided for a $20 donation to support river advocacy. Space is limited to 22 participants. Trail repair

Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, REI and community volunteers are holding a repair-the-trail party for the popular Pipeline Trail in Mill Creek Canyon on July 21. Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. and work until noon to remove rocks and widen and grade the trail. Participants must be 18 or older and in good physical health.
