The Mule Deer Foundation recently presented its Conservation Leadership Award to Justin Dolling, wildlife manager of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources' northern region. Former DWR acting director and now Mule Deer Foundation President Miles Moretti presented the award at the DWR annual awards banquet.
Dolling was selected for the award on the merits of his leadership efforts with the Cache Deer Herd Recovery Plan. The plan involved coordinating efforts between state and federal agencies and conservation and hunting groups to develop ways to help the struggling Cache deer herd.
