BASEBALL

Salt Lake County Dept. of Recreation

The All-Star Baseball Academy and Salt Lake County are conducting the 5th Annual Winter Baseball Camp, Dec. 26 and 27 at the Taylorsville Recreation Center. Camp is for ages 6 through high school. Register by calling 801-641-4651 or 801-965-1732.

BASKETBALL

Clearfield

Registration has begun for a Jr. Jazz wheelchair league for fourth graders and up. Games will be held on Saturday afternoons starting in January. Registration is $36 and will continue through Dec. 21. Call 801-525-2790 or in person at the Community Services Department, 55 S. State, Clearfield.

Registration for Jr. Jazz is beginning in Clearfield. First and second grade will be instructional coed leagues. Girls' and boys' teams are available for third through 12th grade. Girls' grades five through nine and boys' grades six through eight are draft leagues. Cost is $36 for Clearfield residents and $46 for others. Practice starts in December and games begin in January. Registration begins Wednesday for Monday-Thursday night men's leagues. Eight teams are allowed per league and will play a round-robin schedule. Seven games are guaranteed, followed by a double-elimination tournament. Games will begin Dec. 4. The cost per team is $340. Register by phone at 801-525-2790 or online at http://www.reconline.com.

Copperview Recreation Center

Registration has started for the Senior League Jr. Jazz program. The league is for girls and boys in ninth through 12th grades. The cost is $55 for eight games. Call Sandy at 801-561-0075 for more information.
