Wasatch Front Football League

The Wasatch Front Football League begins in Clearfield on July 31. Registration begins Monday and continues through July 21. Clearfield residents ages 7 (must weigh at least 40 pounds) through age 15 (not entering their sophomore year) are eligible. Registration will take place at the Clearfield Community Services department at 55 S. State St. The cost to register is $75. The season runs through Oct. 28. Call 801-525-2790 for information.

N. Utah Horseshoe Pitchers Association

IN-LINE HOCKEY

Park City Ice Arena

The Park City Ice Arena is holding youth in-line hockey clinics. The 30-minute clinic focuses on skating, stopping, stick handling, passing, shooting and positioning. A $60 fee includes 30 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of scrimmage. The clinics are offered every Tuesday and Thursday, through July 13. Ages 5-11 will be from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Ages 12-17 will go from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adults coed in-line scrimmage hockey for adults 18 and older is held Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 6:45 through July 12. RUNNING

Tuesday - The 16th annual 5K run at Fritts Park, 2200 S. 500 East in South Salt Lake will be at 7 p.m. Proceeds go to the Native American Diabetes Association and other charities. Sponsored by the Navajo Hogan Restaurant.

Tuesday - The Fourth of July 5K Fun Run at East Millcreek Recreation Center, 2230 E. Evergreen Ave. in Salt Lake City. The race starts at 7 a.m. and costs $15 to pre-register, and $17 on the day of the event.

Tuesday - North Salt Lake will hold its annual 5K at Hatch Park, 50 W. Center St. Register at http://www.active.com.

Tuesday - The Murray Fun Days 5K will be at 8 a.m. starting in front of the Murray City Park, 5025 S. State St. Pre-register for $15 or $20 day of the race. Contact Cory at 801-264-2614.

Tuesday - The Freedom Festival 10K starts at Timpview High School, 3800 N. 650 East, Provo, at 7 a.m.

Tuesday - The Riverton 10K and 2.23-mile fun run is at the Riverton City Park, 1400 W. 12800 South. The race begins at 7 a.m.

Tuesday - The Clearfield Freedom Run and Walk 5K starts at 7 a.m. at the Clearfield Municipal Field, 55 S. State St. Pre-register for $15 until one week before the race, and $18 after that. Entry forms online at http://www.utahrunnertriathlete.com or at http://www.reconline.com.

Tuesday - Fourth of July annual 5K and 10K Kaysville Rotary Run for Reading. There are 22 age divisions. Register online at http://www.kaysvilleclinic.com. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Davis High School stadium.

SKI JUMPING

Utah Olympic Park

The National Sports Foundation is offering ski jumping camps with the Visa Learn to Fly program at the Utah Olympic Park. Ages 7 to 13 can sign up for camps Friday to Saturday, July 14 to 15, July 28 to 29 and Sept. 8 to 9. The cost is $40. SOCCER

Utah Olympic Oval

The Utah Olympic Oval is holding soccer camps for kids in July and August. The first camp is July 17 to July 21 and the second camp is Aug. 7 to Aug. 11. There are 10 spots available per camp for 5- to 8-year-olds and will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon. TRIATHLON

Saturday - The Bountiful Independence Day Weekend Crack of Dawn Triathlon/Duathlon will be at the Bountiful Recreation Center at 6 a.m. This is a noncompetitive fun triathlon designed for novice and intermediate triathletes and as a training event for experienced triathletes. There will be a 400-meter swim (200 for novices), 9.6-mile bike ride (7 miles for novices) and a 2.4-mile run. The cost is $30 until one week before, and $35 after that. July 8 - The South Mountain Long and Short Course Triathlons and Duathlon in Draper. The long course consists of an 800-meter swim, 19.1-mile bike ride and a 2.85-mile out and back run. The short course is a 400-meter swim (200-meter for novices), a 12.8-mile bike ride and a 2.85-mile (2-mile for novices) run.
