SLED HOCKEY

Great Salt Cup in Park City

Utah's sled hockey team, the National Ability Center's Golden Eagles, will be among those competing next week at the Park City Ice Arena in the Great Salt Cup. This is the first time the event, running March 30 through April 1, has been in Park City. Competitors include sled hockey Paralympic gold medalist David Conklin, who plays for the Sacramento Lightning. Sled hockey allows people with physical disabilities affecting lower limbs to use sleds to move around the ice, about the only difference from the able-bodied version of the sport. For more information about the Great Salt Cup or NAC Golden Eagles, visit http://www.nac1985.org or call 435-649-3991. Games are free for spectators.
