There's a little bit of everything outdoors at the eighth annual Utah International Sportsmen's Exposition. It opens today at the South Towne Expo Center, 9575 S. State St., Sandy.

Young outdoors enthusiasts will want to check out the Youth Wildlife Fair sponsored by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

Activities include an "ice fishing pond" where anglers will be able to fish for rainbow trout and catfish through holes drilled in a wooden platform that simulates ice fishing. Other activities for youth include archery, wildlife identification, live animals from Tracy Aviary and Hogle Zoo, fly tying and a fishing simulator.

The fifth annual International Dutch Oven Society World Championship Cook-Off is part of the show, and an all-terrain vehicle test track will be available for riders 18 and older to try new models.

The Utah State Duck Calling and Elk Calling championships are also being held at the exposition. Fly casters will get a chance to watch, and compete if they are good enough, in the Best-of-the-West distance fly casting championships.
