Turns out, winter riders can do the UAC a favor, too.
Backcountry.com is selling discounted lift tickets to several Utah resorts, with the kicker being 100 percent of the proceeds goes to the UAC. The UAC is a division of the USDA Forest Service. You can also find a link to the tickets on its Web site, www.utahavalanchecenter.org.
