The Outdoor Retailer Winter Show officially opened Wednesday at Snowbason with the All Mountain Demo. There was a small collection of companies represented at the resort, but nothing compared to the massive number of companies crammed into the Salt Palace Convention Center for the real opening today.

The Winter Show is no where near as large as the Summer Show, but it is still a bit intimidating to walk to floor. Around 16,500 attended the Winter Show last year. The combined Winter and Summer shows bring more than $30 million to the Utah economy.

It boggles my mind to think about the amount of money being spent here as store owners purchase goods for next winter.
