A troublesome female grizzly bear has been killed by state game managers in northern Wyoming.

The bear was shot near Ralston on the Shoshone River on Tuesday. The area is outside grizzly habitat.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department killed the grizzly after consulting with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Game and Fish spokesman Dennie Hammer says the bear had a history of conflict with humans and livestock and had been trapped and relocated three times previously.

In addition, he says the area of northern Wyoming where she had recently moved is not suitable grizzly habitat.
