Ski Utah once again is offering fifth and sixth-graders the chance to learn about Utah snow.
For a $25 registration fee, fifth graders are eligible for a passport that entitles them to three free days of skiing or snowboarding at each of the state's 13 active resorts. The sixth-grade SnowPass, which costs $20, gives those students one additional day of free skiing or boarding. Both passes are accompanied by discounts on equipment rentals, lessons and other activities.
Except for a few blackout dates at several resorts, the ski passport is valid throughout the season. Purchasers should allow two to three weeks for delivery, with the first passports to be mailed after mid-November. Passes purchased after Jan. 31 cost an additional $10.
