BASKETBALL

Dimple Dell Fitness and Recreation Center, 10670 S. 1000 East, Sandy, is registering for Lights Out, an ongoing monthly basketball shooting competition for ages 16 and older. Competitions are the second Friday of every month starting at 6:30 p.m. at the center. The cost is $4 per month or $18 for the rest of the year. Contact Lyndsey at 801-495-1480 ext. 7.

Bikes for Kids Utah is holding its annual Red vs. Blue Time Trial, which includes the cycling clubs, alumni and fans of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, to raise awareness for Bikes for Kids Utah. County Ice Center

Online registration has begun for the youth hockey league. The cost is $295. Visit www.youthhockey.slco.org to register.

The county ice center is registering for learn to skate and start smart hockey. The cost is $50 per semester for each program.

SOCCER

Clearfield is registering for smart start soccer for ages 3 to 5. Sessions will be held through Sept. 11 on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., with another session on Saturdays, 10 to 11 a.m., through Sept. 13. Sessions will be held at Central Park, 140 E. Copperview Recreation Center, 8446 S. Harrison St., Midvale, is registering for Fall Outdoor Soccer for kindergarten to 6th grade. This is a coed, recreational outdoor soccer program focused on fun and skill building. Games will be on Saturday mornings and Wednesday nights. SOFTBALL
