Description: Starting at the Red Canyon Visitor Center, this hike takes you high above the Green River. Lookout points with informational placards tell you about the natural environment. About 1 1/4 miles into the hike, the trail leaves the river and takes you through tall grasses and ponderosa pine. A footbridge takes you across Skull Creek at 2.6 miles. The walk ends when you arrive at a picnic area along State Road 44. The Sweat Ranch can be seen in the valley below. This trail is labeled "easy" because there's little elevation change.
Destination: If you start from the Red Canyon Visitor Center, you will end at the Sweat Ranch overlook and picnic area, or you can start from the overlook and hike to the visitor center.
