Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox, speaking at Outdoor Press Camp on June 21, indicated that it was probably the election of Donald Trump that caused Outdoor Retailers to move from Utah to Colorado. He said that we have always been able to get past the problems.

One thing he did not bring up was the fact that years and years of legislation has shown that the state's leaders were more interested in using the lands for oil, mining and agriculture than for protecting the lands and using it for recreation.

Colorado has worked hard on legislation that is designed to protect the land and control the overuse of lands by industry, which has shown that it does not protect the land, wildlife or people.

If I'm not mistaken, Trump was also elected president of Colorado.
