Letter: Utah lawmakers overturn voters’ will for their wish

(Rick Egan | Tribune file photo) New House Speaker Brad Wilson conducts business in the House of Representatives, on the first day of the 2019 Utah Legislative session, Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.

So, the will of the people is meaningless in Utah.

It doesn’t matter what I vote for or against, the elders of the Legislature know “best.” They overturn our will for their wish.

They claim “frugality” and “compassion,” when they cover fewer people for more money.

I’d like to vote away their health care for life, but we all know how quickly they would overturn that voter proposition.

Because they are frugal. And compassionate.

I live in Utah.

I am a disenfranchised voter.
