Letter: Sorry, Rep. Love, but trust is a two-way street

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and Rep. Mia Love speak following a roundtable in Eagle Mountain on Thursday Aug. 23, 2018. Rural broadband providers discussed "how expanding high-speed internet access and closing the digital divide can create jobs and increase digital opportunity."

Rep. Mia Love, your distrust of your constituents is glaring.

I went to your office during one of your infrequent “open office hours.” My purse was confiscated by your staff and held while I and five others attempted to have meaningful dialogue with you.

You defend gun control but assure there are none in your office. I had to trust your staff with my personal belongings. Were you afraid I would hurt you with a lipstick? You do not trust your constituents but you expect me to trust you with my one vote?

No, I will be trusting a person who actually wants to hear from his constituents — Ben McAdams.
