Letter: Trump and company pale in comparison to real Monuments Men

I was extremely disappointed in The Tribune’s headline of Dec. 5, “Monuments Men,” alluding to what happened Dec. 4 when the Donald ceremoniously decreased President Obama’s and President Clinton’s protected designations.

The real Monuments Men were heroes, dedicated to finding the priceless art and sculptures Adolf Hitler stole from Europe during World War II. Some of the Monuments Men lost their lives.

The headline, in no way mirrors the unselfishness, dedication and heartfelt preservation of spectacular treasures of the Monuments Men of World War II.

The greedy and narcissistic minds of Trump, Gov. Gary Herbert and his lackeys, i.e. Reps. Chris Stewart and Rob Bishop and Sens. Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee, are nothing like the real Monuments Men.
