l would like to thank the gentleman who came up to me at the gas station on Veterans Day and asked me if I was a veteran, I said proudly, yes I am. He pulled out his credit card, put it in the pump, and said that this tank of gas was on him and thank you for your service.
I could not believe what a nice gesture that was. I have waited 45 years for an act of compassion like that. Really made my day. We chatted for a few minutes and went our separate ways with smiles on both our faces. Thanks again and best regards to the guy in the black truck.
