Letter: Traffic safety should be part of delivering newspapers

(Salt Lake Tribune | Historical File WWII Surrender Page) Two persons are standing near The Salt Lake Tribune newspapers stall.

While I appreciate that we still live in an era when news is delivered daily by not only your paper, but others around the country, it surely has changed from the time my dad delivered them on his bicycle in the afternoon.

The feel of a morning or afternoon paper is still desired by many over the glut of online news from thousands of websites. It just doesn’t have the same appeal as newsprint.

What alarms me more and more each day is the disregard to traffic safety in the delivery of your newspaper. Our company takes safety very seriously and we are tested yearly as part of our performance goals. And I realize that time is money to your deliverers, but safety should be more important.
