Delegation and nuke waste

I can't believe the citizens of Utah don't care that their state is going to become the world's dump for radioactive waste from Italy and other nations, without a whimper. Apparently, Sens. Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett don't care, nor do Reps. Rob Bishop and Chris Cannon ("Matheson says 'No' to nuclear waste, but Hatch, Bennett, Bishop and Cannon hedge on issue," Tribune, May 26).

Only Rep. Jim Matheson has recognized this proposal for what it is - a rape of U.S. soil - and is pushing legislation to block it. I hope he prevails.

Utahns, it's time to wake up to what's going on in Washington - ask Hatch, Bennett, Bishop and Cannon just whom they represent, and why?
