I am a teacher of students with severe disabilities at East High School. Today I was walking through the hall with a few of my students and noticed a lot of commotion outside the auditorium. They were filming "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." At the auditorium back door, I asked if my students could step in to take a look. After a couple of calls we were allowed in to watch them film a scene. My students were so excited and really enjoyed the chance to see some of the stars.
The people from the movie didn't need to let us in, and I would have understood if we had not been allowed. But they were very nice, even offering us fruit while we watched. I have heard nothing but positive comments from students and teachers about how the people from the movie have treated the East High School community. It is an exciting opportunity for the school; I am happy they chose East High.
