I watched the recent Democratic debate on CNN and was saddened to see the Clinton machine turn a once possibly enlightened campaign into a politics-as-usual, do-what-you-can-to-smear-the-other-candidate debacle. Barack Obama had little choice but to respond as best he can without completely stooping to their level.
Utahns have the chance on Feb. 5 to vote in a way that does not once again validate slash-and-burn tactics that serve none of us well. Do not allow Sen. Obama to be marginalized and seen only as the "black" candidate.
Vote your hearts and minds for the candidate who is trying to bring us together for the common good.
