Concerning Drew Conrad's letter, "Shameful accusation" (Forum, Sept. 23): CNN analyst Jack Cafferty is likely correct that the reason the presidential race is so tight is because Obama is a black man.

In West Virginia, 20-25 percent of mountaineers say "no" to Obama because he is black.

In rural parts of swing states, 30 percent say they will not vote for Obama primarily because of his race.

What makes Conrad think that Obama will not fight to protect America or that Obama does not believe in "family values"?

More innuendo and half-truths will not change my vote.
