I take issue with the editorial U.S. impotence: Statesmanship not possible without moral standing (Opinion, Aug. 13), which placed blame for the diplomatic and domestic trauma we are experiencing directly upon the Bush-Cheney shock and awe phenomena.
Let me remind you that the aforementioned gentlemen would be unable to promulgate any policy or spend a thin dime from the public treasury without the virtually unanimous support of their enablers in Congress, their financial supporters, the media and those seemingly unaware souls, locally and nationally, who have been persuaded to abandon their very own Bill of Rights and personal interests to support this cabal of charlatans.
Is it not past time for us to become aware that those fabled terrorists who hate our freedoms seem to be more domestic than foreign?
