Regarding the question of how to address the issue of Salt Lake's homeless population: Why not demonstrate respect for those who are without homes due to myriad reasons, not all of which include irresponsibility, laziness, criminal tendencies or mental illness?

Create a representative committee from the homeless themselves to formulate solutions which will work for them. Who knows better what is needed and wanted? Certainly not some czar or comfortable politico who never misses a meal.
