I'm not sure how Utah can keep its tax incentive data a secret (July 9: "Unlike other states, Utah doesn't reveal whether companies offered tax breaks meet their goals"). We need to hold elected officials accountable for government transparency.

Utah is all about not liking "big government," yet our "big Utah government" is keeping secrets and we have a right to know tax-incentive data. Openness is one means for citizens to hold their public officials accountable.
