In 40-50 years, historians will note this era for the Republican Party's acknowledged, organized and sustained effort to actively resist and now wipe away anything President Barack Obama. Unfortunately for Utah, one of the prominent names associated with that effort will be Sen. Orrin Hatch. He will be remembered much in the same way as we remember Strom Thurmond today, except that at least Strom Thurmond had a commendable war record.

In 40-50 years, Utah will be ashamed of Orrin Hatch.
