I read an article written by Larry Pressler in the Deseret News on June 10. It was most refreshing to read. Pressler wrote, "I thirst for old-fashioned, black letter, moderate and centrist news. In fact, I find that two of the most reliable news sources are the very expensive Financial Times and the Economist. The Deseret News also provides a centrist, moderate type of news."

He voted for Hillary Clinton but said, "I think Donald is actually doing better than is credited. He is our president, elected by us, and he deserves a fair chance to carry out his program."

Pressler was a U.S. senator for 18 years and congressman for four years. He is a Rhodes Scholar, Harvard law graduate and a Vietnam veteran.

I also thirst for moderate and centrist news. I am age 84. Have I missed Peggy Fletcher Stack's writing something positive about the LDS Church on the front page of The Tribune?

I think that if Pat Bagley drew from a moderate standpoint The Tribune would be more honored.
