I called Sen. Orrin Hatch's office recently to voice my outrage at the back-room crafting of the Senate version of TrumpCare — and got off the phone more infuriated than when I called.

I was told that because there had been "discussions" about what to do about our health care mess for the "last seven years," there was "no need" to include the public in the process that's now happening behind closed doors. I was then informed that Hatch had decided "this is what's best for the state of Utah."

I don't even have to try to imagine the derision we'd be hearing from this colossal hypocrite if this same corrupt process was attempted across the aisle: I remember Hatch's whining about how closed a far more open ACA process was.

This level of corruption is not sustainable. It's time to send each and every one of these partisan scoundrels home.

ASAP.
