I read in the June 1 commentary by Leonard Pitts that a group of 8th-grade students declined to take a picture with House Speaker Paul Ryan. A student in the class, Matthew Malespina, stated they would not stand for a picture with a man "who puts his party before his country." Master Malespina brightened my day; there is, without doubt, hope for a better future.
