Another plaque for the Walk of Shame. Jason Chaffetz implied in a contract with Utah voters that if they voted for him, he would represent them for a two-year term in Congress. Out-of-state PACs and special interests invested a lot of money to buy his attention. Republicans invested a lot of time and money putting him on the ballot. The House leadership entrusted chairmanship of a major committee to him.

And now, after five months into the term, Fox News favorite Chaffetz says: "Nah, don't think I'll do it. I want to come home."

Is this the height of irresponsibility? Of arrogance? Of deception? Of fraud? Shame on you, Rep. Chaffetz. You should be banned from the party and shunned by responsible Republicans as a disgrace to all the people and organizations you represent.

Chaffetz should be required to reimburse the state for the perhaps million dollars his childish, irresponsible, arrogant behavior will cost for another election. Not to mention the incredible time and effort wasted. He should reimburse the special interests who helped buy him the election and who will now have to buy a replacement.

What private enterprise would hire someone with that display of lack of character?

And he thinks he might want to run for governor in 2020? Wow. Just wow.
