Let's take stock. Sen. Orrin Hatch and Rep. Chris Stewart continue to be sycophants of Donald Trump. Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Jason Chaffetz are at least muttering noises of concern. Rep. Rob Bishop has been uncharacteristically silent and Rep. Mia Love has been characteristically silent.

To Hatch and Stewart: History will judge you harshly, gentlemen. Your legacies and personal character are already, and forever will be, tainted by your blind party partisanship over the good of the country. My opinion is still out on the others, but I'm not hopeful based on their actions to date that Lee, Chaffetz and Bishop can rise above party politics.

Love is my representative in the 4th Congressional District. I actually know her (not well) and like her, despite disagreeing with her politics.

Rep. Love, if you are listening, please break with toady politics and do what you know is right: Be the first Republican congressperson to publicly and forcefully repudiate Trump's presidency. It takes no courage to sit on the sidelines, then jump on the bandwagon only when the majority opinion changes. Stand up, now. Have courage and you may actually earn my vote in 2018.
